About AccessGP
AccessGP is a GP-led online service, founded in 2025 by Dr Zamiel Hussain. Patients in England rate our unhurried, personal approach 5.0 on Google, and we are now preparing to bring it to Ireland.
Why AccessGP exists
Most people have had a GP appointment that felt like a race against the clock: ten minutes, one problem, and a sense that the doctor never quite heard what you meant. Dr Zamiel Hussain started AccessGP because he believed it did not have to be that way.
The idea was simple. Make it easy to speak to an experienced GP, give that GP enough time to listen properly, and treat every patient as a whole person rather than a list of symptoms. Use technology to remove the waiting and the admin, never to replace the doctor.
AccessGP opened in England in 2025. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England, and our GPs are registered with the General Medical Council. Patients have rated the service 5.0 on Google.

Time to listen
Good decisions come from good conversations. Our consultations are planned so there is room to explain what is going on, ask questions and leave with a clear plan, not a rushed prescription.
Real clinicians, not chatbots
Every AccessGP consultation is with an experienced, registered clinician. We use technology to make things simpler and quicker, never to replace the person you are talking to.
Safe and honest care
Online care is not right for everything. A good online doctor says so when someone needs to be examined, seen urgently or referred, and only provides prescriptions, certificates or letters where they are clinically appropriate. That is how our GPs work.
Your information matters just as much. AccessGP Ltd is Cyber Essentials certified, and patient records are kept in secure clinical systems.
Prevention as well as treatment
Dr Hussain has a special interest in lifestyle medicine. Alongside treating illness, we help people understand the habits that keep them well: sleep, activity, food, stress and alcohol.

Dr Hussain qualified in medicine from St George's, University of London, and trained as a GP in the UK. He has special interests in lifestyle medicine and in supporting people affected by substance misuse.
As well as leading AccessGP's clinical team, he is the service's Clinical Safety Officer, responsible for making sure the digital systems behind every consultation are designed and run safely.
I’ve seen first-hand how powerful it is when we take the time to really listen, understand the whole person and support them not just in sickness but in health.

Coming to Ireland
Experienced GPs
Consultations in Ireland will be with experienced GPs, by video or phone, with the time to listen properly and agree a clear plan with you.
Alongside your own GP
AccessGP is designed to sit alongside the practice you are registered with, not instead of it, with a written summary of every consultation that you can share with your regular GP.
Clear from the start
